Cairo Deluxe

Cairo Deluxe (full day including lunch).

Early in the morning we leave Hurghada to make the Cairo Deluxe trip the Minibus (about 6 hours) through the desert and the coastal road to Cairo.

We spend all this day visiting Cairo and its surroundings with our more dedicated Cairo Deluxe program. We start by heading to Giza, a suburb of the Egyptian capital. Here we visit the Pyramids area. We walk around the Pyramid of Cheops while our tour guide takes us back in time about 4,500 years. This is the only one of the wonders of antiquity that remains to be seen. We see the oldest boat in the world, also about 4,500 years old. Here it is at the foot of the pyramid in almost the same condition as when it was buried. We see the Sphinx the world-famous giant sculpture in front of the Chef Pyramid. It has a lion’s body that symbolizes power and a man’s face that tells of intelligence. Every morning the Sphinx sees the sun go down in the desert, the constant rebirth of life. up next We have lunch at a local restaurant by the Pyramids and then take the bus into central Cairo. The program includes, of course the Egyptian Museum. We have saved the best for last. The world’s best historical museum. With our tour in fresh memory, we can assimilate these fantastic collections in a completely different way. Everyone may not be able to absorb everything that is shown here and time is not enough for that either, but everything that was found in Tutankhamun’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank in Luxor is in a special place in the museum to view and we must not miss it.
